People generally love to have personalized products. 
This is evident in the number of vanity license plates that adorn cars
all over the country.  Personalization is especially appreciated when it is applied to a gift.

 Playing cards have become extremely popular personalized gifts.  More people are
getting back into cards now that they are all over the TV, and giving someone
a customized deck will allow them to play a game of poker, bridge,
or even solitaire with a bit of style.  A custom deck can be created
and ordered over the Internet, and the cards can
be completed and delivered within weeks.

A person can use a variety of colors and fonts in the design of the deck. 
Images and photographs can also be put onto the cards.  This allows for the creation of very
intricate cards. That doesn't mean, however, that simple novelty designs can't be used.  In fact, a lot of
people will alter photos of the person they are giving the cards to for broad comedic effect.
