Types of Custom Playing Cards

The poker craze has swept the nation.  On any given night a person can take in three or four different poker tournaments on three or four different networks. Old pros do battle at the tables with young bucks, and upstarts who learned to play online try to prove their worth to those who cut their teeth at mid-level casinos all over the nation.  It is even possible to watch celebrities go head-to-head while playing for charity and casting insults at their colleagues. One network has even created a weekly drama that centers around the life and times of a fictional poker legend.

This new found fascination with poker has caused people everywhere to start up regular games.  In most cases, the amateurs want to be as close to the pros as possible.  They get the right table, the right chips, and the right cards. 

The two main choices of playing cards are the same choices one gets at a grocery store; paper or plastic.  Card stock paper is much stronger than most paper stocks, and it has been used for a long time.  A lot of players that have been around for a while prefer paper cards, because that's what they were raised on.

 Plastic cards are more durable than paper cards. It's as simple as that.  They last a much longer time and their corners do not tend to bend as easily.  Many players also believe plastic cards are easier to deal, because most of the best brands don't stick together.
